Laravel Cloud, or a server you own
Laravel Cloud runs your app on its own AWS servers and bills a plan plus usage by the second. Provisore manages a server you rent yourself, for a flat monthly price beside your provider's. An app that sleeps most of the week costs less on Cloud. Run all month, a Flex 2 GiB instance or larger costs more there than Solo with a netcup VPS 1000 G12, which is $22.10 a month for 4 vCores, 8 GB DDR5 ECC, 256 GB NVMe, traffic included.
When Laravel Cloud is the better choice
Your app is idle most of the time
Cloud's compute scales to zero when traffic stops and wakes in under half a second, and you pay only while it is awake. A server you own costs the same whether anybody visits or not.
Your traffic arrives in spikes
Cloud's Growth plan autoscales to 10 replicas. Provisore has no autoscaler. A server runs at one size until you resize it.
You do not want an operating system
On Cloud there is no server to patch, the MySQL clusters have automated backups, and DDoS mitigation is on every plan. Provisore automates the server, and the server is still yours.

You need preview environments, or Go, Python, Ruby or Rust
Cloud has preview environments on every plan and runtimes for Go, Python, Ruby and Rust. Provisore's preview environments are built but not open to customer accounts yet, and its runtimes are Laravel, PHP, Node, static and Swift.
What Provisore does differently
A server you can log into
Add your public key to the team's pool and each new server gets it as it goes active. The browser terminal opens a shell as the deploy user or as one site's own account.
A bill that does not follow your traffic
The plan is a flat monthly price and the machine is on your provider's invoice at its listed price. Past the included monitored servers, each one more costs $5 a month, billed by the hour.
Any provider, from the entry plan
Solo covers 3 servers on any provider for $12 a month. Provisore can also create the server for you on Hetzner Cloud.
Monitoring in the same subscription
Server metrics on every plan, then alert rules, uptime checks and log search across servers from Pro, and on-call rotations from Scale.
Swift beside PHP and Node
Vapor and Hummingbird apps are built with swift build on the server and run under systemd behind Nginx. The toolchain is downloaded, verified and installed for you.
What compute costs, run all month
Each Laravel Cloud compute size left on for a whole month, against a server of your own.
| Compute size | vCPU | Memory | Cheapest plan | Run all month | Against $22.10 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flex 512 MiB | 1 | 0.5 GiB | Starter | $6 | Costs less |
| Flex 1 GiB | 1 | 1 GiB | Starter | $12 | Costs less |
| Flex 2 GiB | 1 | 2 GiB | Starter | $24 | Costs more |
| Pro 4 GiB | 1 | 4 GiB | Growth | $47 | Costs more |
| Pro 8 GiB | 2 | 8 GiB | Growth | $79 | Costs more |
| Pro 16 GiB | 4 | 16 GiB | Growth | $143 | Costs more |
| Pro 32 GiB | 8 | 32 GiB | Growth | $271 | Costs more |
Each row is the plan fee plus that size’s monthly compute cap, on the cheapest plan that offers it, less the $5 of usage credit the plan includes each month. The comparison is Solo at $12 plus a netcup VPS 1000 G12 (4 vCores, 8 GB DDR5 ECC, 256 GB NVMe, traffic included) at $10.10 net of VAT, $22.10 a month, with the database and cache on the same machine. netcup’s price was read on 12 September 2026; Priced against a PaaS itemises it. laravel.com/cloud/pricing laravel.com/cloud/docs/pricing
Moving from Laravel Cloud
Connect a server, create a Laravel site from the same repository, and restore the database from a dump. The scheduler entry is created with the site, and queue workers become daemons under systemd.
Frequently asked questions
What does the table leave out?
Cloud bills databases, cache, queues and object storage on top of compute, at the rates on the same page, and bandwidth past the allowance at $0.10 a GB. On a server of your own those share the machine you already pay for.
Does Provisore autoscale?
No. Every plan charts CPU, memory and disk, and alert rules start on Pro. Resizing the server is yours to do.
Who patches the server?
Provisioning turns on unattended security updates, and Provisore flags a pending reboot or security updates that were skipped. Anything beyond that, such as a release upgrade, is yours.
Where does my data live?
On the server you rent, in whichever of your provider's locations you chose. Provisore stores your environment files encrypted and does not hold your database.
